Student Send-offs
Each year, UVA Clubs around the world coordinate Student Send-off events for incoming first-years, transfers, returning and graduate students as well as parents. The UVA Clubs Student Ambassadors play a critical role at these events by welcoming new students and parents, answering questions and sharing their current student experience.

CASE Associated Student Advancement Programs
The UVA Clubs Student Ambassadors Program Executive Committee, Tim Bernica, Katherine Mazzaferro and Audrey Waldrop, attended the annual CASE ASAP (Associated Student Advancement Programs) Network Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 8-12, 2012. Along with their Adviser, Carrie Armstrong, these students attended breakout sessions, met with alumni, attended formal meals, cheered on the hometown baseball team and learned from students and advisers from across the U.S. and Canada. The Executive Committee will be meeting with their fellow Student Ambassadors in September to share their key learnings from the convention.

UVA Club of Atlanta Cavaliers Care with HouseProud
Student Ambassador, Rafat Khan, originally from Bangladesh, spent the day with the UVA Club of Atlanta volunteering for HouseProud, an organization that fixes houses for people in Atlanta who can’t afford home repairs themselves. Rafat had a wonderful time meeting alumni in the area and spoke positively about his experience saying, “To know that we helped make the life of at least one person in need better that day meant the world to us. I hope I get more opportunities in the future to work with the UVA Clubs and serve the community as a Student Ambassador.”

Fourth Year Final Food Fest
The Student Ambassadors promoted the UVA Clubs Global Network at the inaugural Fourth Year Final Food Fest held at Alumni Hall on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Madison House/UVA Club of Charlottesville Cavaliers Care
On April 14, 2012, the Student Ambassadors met for a Cavaliers Care event which benefitted SARA (Sexual Assault Resource Agency).

Welcome and Thank You Reception
On April 5, 2012, the Student Ambassadors gathered at Jefferson Hall for a reception to thank the graduating Ambassadors and welcome 86 new Ambassadors into the program.
