On Thursday, April 21st, alumni, parents, and friends joined us for our April Speaker Series featuring Jessica Lamour (CLAS ’09), Television Writer.
Jessica recommends the following books for writing resources:

Jessica is a Haitian-American graduate of the University of Virginia (2009) and former Moody’s Financial Research Analyst. While working at Moodys, she found her love of writing, taking classes at New York University School of Continued Education and Upright Citizens Brigade.
Jessica eventually moved to LA where she worked years as an assistant in writers rooms for “Burning Love,” “Mason Twins,” “Marry Me,” “Imaginary Mary,” and eventually landing a writing/producer roles on “Living Biblically,” “SMILF,” “Little Voice,” “Chicago Party Aunt,” and now currently writing on the “Clone High” reboot. Jessica was recently nominated for the 52nd NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Writing Drama Series for Little Voice.
