UVA Club of Charlottesville: Fall Gardening with Leslie Keleher Harris (CLAS ’83, PAR ’11, ’15)

On Tuesday, October 20th, alumni, parents, and friends virtually joined the UVA Club of Charlottesville and other fellow Wahoos for a look at how Leslie readies her garden for winter and the following spring. We were excited to welcome Leslie Keheler Harris (CLAS ’83, PAR ’11, ’15) back six months later for a window into her end of season garden tasks and preparation for spring! The program included information on the following: bulb planting, garden clean-up (while leaving insect habitat), transplanting and dividing perennials, selecting perennials for fall interest, over-wintering tender plants, and ideas for fall and winter containers.

Leslie Keheler Harris (CLAS ’83, PAR ’11, ’15) studied horticulture and design at the New York Botanical Gardens and her garden is slated to be part of Historic Garden Week 2021.
