2018 Belk Bowl Game: UVA Fan Events

Join fellow alumni, parents, friends, and fans in Charlotte as the Virginia Cavaliers take on the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2018 Belk Bowl. The University of Virginia has multiple fan events planned for fellow Wahoos. We hope you will join us to celebrate UVA!

Friday, December 28

UVA Fan Welcome & Hospitality Table at the Fan Hotel

Guests are invited to stop by, register or check-in for the UVA Fan Events in advance. Pick up Bowl gear, win prizes, and have your photo taken with 3D Cav Man! In the spirit of giving back this holiday season, the UVA Club of Charlotte will be collecting donations to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank. Please bring canned goods by the hospitality table to help further the University’s mission of community service!

This complimentary More Than the Score talk will explore the interplay of wine and democracy in Thomas Jefferson’s life and American history, and will focus on the events and advancements that led to the flourishing winemaking enterprise in Virginia today.

UVA Run with Jim
Meet-up: 7:15 a.m.
Run begins: 7:30 a.m.
Along Charlotte Rail Trail; start at Romare Bearden Park

All alumni, parents, and friends in the area or visiting for the Bowl are invited to run with UVA’s President Jim Ryan! Lace up your sneakers on Saturday morning for a 3.5 mile run along the Charlotte Rail Trail, starting at Romare Bearden Park. Following the run, grab some coffee and a “Run with Jim” t-shirt before heading to the pre-Bowl Cavalier Countdown tailgate.

Not a runner but interested in helping out? Volunteers are needed along the route to cheer on the pack and help with refreshments. Please register to volunteer if you can help out!
