UVA Club of Richmond: NMAAHC Reception and Panel Discussion

  • Zena Howard and Rodrigo Abela, with moderator Courtney Spearman

On May 24th, the UVA Club of Richmond had the amazing opportunity to learn about the architecture of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture from some of its principal designers. Hosted at the Branch Museum for Architecture and Design, the evening included a lovely reception and a panel discussion by UVA alumni Zena Howard (ARC ‘88), Rodrigo Abela (ARC ‘99, ‘00), and Courtney Spearman (ARC ’05, ’06) on the design, construction, and collections of the museum.
