Get Involved

Are you interested in getting involved with the UVaClub of Chicago? The UVaClub of Chicago is always looking for new members and ideas.  We encourage all alumni, friends and family to share ideas and events that will help the UVaClub foster the ongoing relationship between the University and Chicagoland alumni.

The UVaClub of Chicago's committees serve as a valuable resource in helping to plan events, research programming ideas and shape the club's agenda. Our committees cover a range of programming interests.


 
Social Committee

The Social Committee plans a variety of events throughout the year, including Signature Events, and works with the other ACC Clubs of Chicago to organize joint events.

Sports Committee

The Sports Committee coordinates all of the club's athletic teams: Flag Football, Kickball, and Beach Volleyball.  In addition, the committee organizes game-watching events for U.Va. Football, Basketball, Lacrosse, and Baseball.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee hosts a yearly membership drive, maintains membership records and plans events for current and potential members.

Community Service Committee

The Community Service Committee plans service projects for alumni, in addition to coordinating our annual Cavaliers Care initiative.

'Hoos Networking Committee

The Networking Committee hosts career and networking events including information sessions, panel discussions and career fairs.

Schools Committee

The Schools Committee reaches out to high school students and guidance counselors through college fairs and information sessions, and organizes a phone-a-thon to congratulate newly accepted students.

Speakers Committee

The Speakers Committee works with both the University and alumni communities to bring distinguished speakers to the club.  This includes professor lectures and industry-specific alumni panels.
