When will the Leadership Conference be held?

June 20 – 22, 2008
The conference will be kicked off with a reception Friday evening and will include programming and events all day Saturday with a morning session and meeting with your REO on Sunday. If you are booking flights and would like to participate in Sundays programming, please plan to depart after 1 pm.

Who should attend the Conference?

UVaClub Board Members, Alumni Interest Group Leaders and members of the Young Alumni Council. More specifically, we encourage new leaders, volunteers who have recently accepted a new role within the organization, and those looking for new ideas and networking opportunities to attend.

I have attended a Conference in the past should I attend in June 2008?

Yes, we will be covering many new topics this year, as well as updating you first-hand on everything happening around Grounds.

Where will the conference be held?

University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

What is the registration fee?

The Conference is free of charge; participants will be responsible for their travel to and from Charlottesville as well as lodging. Limited lodging scholarships will be available in Faulkner Apartments (Dorm Suites).

Is there a registration deadline?

Please register by June 9, 2008.

How many people can attend from my organization?

We ask that not more than six individuals from your organization attend the Leadership Conference.

Can I register online?

Yes. Online registration will be available in April.

When will agenda be posted?

The completed agenda, including breakout sessions and a schedule of events, should be posted online in April.

I am interested in leading/contributing to a session whom should I contact?

Please contact your REO or Nataki Corneille.

If I am unable to attend after I have registered, what is the cancellation policy?

If you are unable to attend the Conference please notify Darci Spuck at dds6w@virginia.edu or (434) 924-4157 as soon as possible. We know life happens, but would appreciate notification a minimum of 7 days prior to the Conference. If you are unable to attend, we recommend you to send someone in your place. Please notify Darci of your substitution.
