About Student Send-offs

Each year, UVaFamilies works with UVaClubs around the world to coordinate Student Send-off events for incoming first-years, transfers, returning students and parents. We invite you to attend a Send-off event in your area this summer.

Student Send-offs are social gatherings for students and parents ranging from backyard barbecues to formal receptions. These events are a great opportunity to meet and ask questions of current students, parents, alumni and University staff. Our goal is for you to meet other U.Va. students and parents and begin building a network within the U.Va. community.

Over 70 events will take place around the world this summer. You may choose to attend the event in your area, or if you are traveling or spending the summer in another location, enjoy one on the road. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
