Cavaliers Care at Red Mountain Park Recap

Jane Cooper, Archie Cobbs (a Princetonian generously loaned by U.Va.'s own Margaret Cobbs), and I participated in the Cavaliers Care project at Red Mountain Park. We accomplished a lot by clearing the trails and I encourage you all to take advantage of one of the preview hikes at the park.

Upcoming tours scheduled for: Sunday, May 18th; Saturday, June 21st; Sunday, July 20th; Sunday, August 17th; and Sunday, Sept. 21st. All hikes depart from the dead-end of Frankfurt Drive, just off Lakeshore Parkway, just minutes from town.

Please visit http://www.redmountainpark.org or email info@redmountainpark.org for more information.

Spring Party in Honor of Mr. Jefferson's Birthday
Sat. April 12, 2008

The UVaClub of Birmingham has its Spring Party in honor of Mr. Jefferson's Birthday, hosted by Jerry Hartley (SEAS ’94), Proprietor of The J. Clyde. The Club provided hors d'oeuvres and drinks and guests stayed for dinner and further fine beer sampling.

If you would like to learn more about the UVaClub of Birmingham and find out how to participate in events, leadership, and service projects, please contact President Tom Spencer at tomivy@bellsouth.net

Hello fellow Wahoos,

As we head into the new year, I first want to stop and thank everyone for attending the Ken Elzinga event in December. The event was a great success, thanks to planning and effort from Mike Mahon, Christin Wingo, and Rebecca and Jeff Cohn, and through assistance from U.Va. itself. We are especially appreciative of the terrific turnout during a busy time of the year. I trust you all enjoyed a pleasant night remembering and pondering the future of the University.
