21 Grants Available for Young Alumni Funding

  • Grant breakdown: 10 grants of $500; 6 grants of $250; 5 grants of $100
  • Who applies for the grant? Young alumni who are involved in some way with the UVaClub in their region (doesn't have to be the young alumni representative).
  • What information is requested on the grant application? Calendar of proposed events, basic description of events on calendar (including proposed time for event, title and purpose) and metrics for measuring success of event(s).
  • How are the grants evaluated and approved? Grants will be evaluated by committee (coordinated effort with the Alumni Association and the Office of Engagement).
  • When will grants be available? July 1, 2009
  • Are there any restrictions on the use of the funding? Funding cannot be used to purchase alcohol.

Requirements if grant is approved:

  • List of attendees with contact information and a brief recap of event sent via email to Ashley Cullop at acullop@virginia.edu or via fax to (434) 243-9083.
  • Grant must be spent by June 15, 2010 or the funds will be transferred back into the general young alumni regional project account for use in 2010-2011.
