We're kicking off Cavaliers Care with a bang this year! Come downtown to hear some of your favorite a cappella groups from UVa sing at the Jefferson Memorial. The groups will be coming up from Charlottesville, singing to benefit AccessUVa. We will be collecting donations of any size for AccessUVa. PB & J Sandwich Making Join fellow Wahoos at the JCC of Greater Washington in Rockville for a fun time preparing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. All sandwiches will be given to DC Central Kitchen, so they can distribute them to those most in need. Shelter House Game Night Get in touch with your inner child for a night of fun and games with the children at Shelter House. Chutes & Ladders, Candy Land and playground games are a few of the planned activities for the event. Bingo and Crumpets Come out and play Bingo with the elderly at Burke Nursing Home. We'll be playing the British way: with a hot spot of tea and crumpets. Cheerio! Everybody Clean Up! Come help clean apartments for less fortunate women. We’ll be vacuuming and dusting the residential apartments provided by N Street Village for homeless and low-income women of DC. Please do not wear nice attire as we might get down and dirty. |
