Leadership Conference
Charlottesville was abuzz from June 20-22, 2008 as representatives from the expanding global network of UVaClubs and Alumni Interest Groups converged on Grounds for the Leadership Conference.
Over 60 leaders from 22 organizations attended the conference, which focused upon imparting the tools to build, mobilize and sustain clubs and AIGs.
Kicked off by a reception hosted by Senior Vice President for Development and Public Affairs Bob Sweeney at his Pavilion VI home, the weekend included a state of the University address from Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Leonard Sandridge, a training session with volunteer management expert Katie Campbell and breakout sessions on topics ranging from interactive media to event planning.
The University of Virginia Office of Engagement and Alumni Association are grateful to all who attended, from the service chair of the UVaClub of Charlottesville to the social chair of the UVaClub of Honolulu. Thank you for making the 2008 Leadership Conference such a success!
