Our number one priority is to make sure that those who want to receive email communications about upcoming UVA Club events and activities do so. Here are a couple of reasons why our emails may not find your inbox along with the next steps:
Does the University have your current physical address?
Every UVA Club has its own region based on a selection of zip codes that best represents your geographical area; our email distribution lists are based on these regions. When you move, even if the email address stays the same, you won’t receive our emails in your new city. To ensure the University has your correct contact information, please fill out the form below. After you submit your new contact information, we will update our database on your behalf.
Spam filters or Gmail tabs?
Many times, University emails will get caught in spam filters or will be delivered to the spam or junk mail folder. Adding email@example.com to your address book may help our emails get to your inbox. Checking the spam or junk mail folder occasionally may find our emails there. Gmail will sometimes deliver our emails to the “social” or “promotions” tab, so check those tabs as well for our emails.
Have you ever unsubscribed from a UVA email? Have you ever requested not to receive communications from us?
Very frequently we discover that your record in our database has an OMIT code attached to it, meaning that at some point you requested to not receive emails from us. If this was added to your record in error, please contact UVA Clubs Information Processor Ed Oak (firstname.lastname@example.org) and he will investigate.
